Help us keep this run healthy by avoiding any disturbances where fish are holding. They have limited stored fat reserves to get them through the summer to spawn in late September.

Recent reports are that over 6300 spring run salmon have returned to Butte Creek this year. This is particularly encouraging after two years of disastrously low returns. PG&E announced December 3, 2024, that the Butte Canal, fed by the diversion at Butte Head Dam will not be put back in service after the disastrous failure August 9, 2023.
