Friends of Butte Creek,(FBC) with support from the Wild Salmon Center, (WSC) are developing a Strategic Action Plan for the Butte Creek Watershed. Recognizing the value of Salmon Strongholds, FBC and WSC partnered in 2023 to build a team of agency biologist and decision makers, and NGO’s focused on salmon, steelhead and watershed restoration to begin the process of creating a living document to help guide the protection and restoration efforts of Butte Creek, home to the Last, Best Run of Wild Spring Run Chinook Salmon in California.
