Many years ago, former board member Kit Kerby passed on a couple of historical maps of Butte County that were in her office at Metagraphics. They sat rolled up for years at various FBC locations. With the new office we decided to scan them for use and the new owners of Metagraphics scanned them for us to use. Things were quite different in 1862 and 1875. Enjoy the historical views and note the islands along Butte Creek. Maybe someday we can really recreate the dynamic floodplain of lower Butte Creek.
